We are thrilled to announce that Chris, our Managing Advisor has officially gained Chartered Member status with IOSH (CM IOSH)! After months of dedication, hard work, and continuous learning, reaching this milestone is incredibly rewarding. The keen eyes amongst you, many notice that this was actually achieved this back in May, but things have been a bit hectic and we haven’t had a chance to take a moment….

What does this mean to you Chris?

The journey to achieving this has deepened my understanding of health and safety standards in construction, reaffirming my commitment to creating safer, more efficient work environments. In the construction industry, where the stakes are high and safety is paramount, being equipped with this level of expertise enables me to play an even more pivotal role in protecting colleagues, clients, and communities.

This isn’t just a personal achievement; it reflects my belief in the importance of ongoing professional development. The CM IOSH status represents my determination to stay at the forefront of health and safety management, ensuring that every project I’m part of meets the highest standards.

This isn’t something that I have always strived for, certainly initially it was something I avoided, as many of the more senior people I dealt with, whilst they had great book knowledge, didn’t actually know how to put things into practice. Something that throughout my career I’ve tried hard to keep at the forefront of my aims. There is no point having great paperwork, procedures etc, if nobody is following them, or they are just pure fantasy. Lets keep things real.

To anyone pursuing this goal: stay focused and committed! It’s worth every ounce of effort. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way—here’s to creating safer construction sites and continuing to grow in this dynamic, growing field!
